Be a community partner

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services encourages community-based organizations to help people apply for BadgerCare Plus. By creating partnerships with local county/tribal agencies, community-based organizations can help increase enrollment in BadgerCare Plus and educate people about the benefits of the program.

There are many ways that you can help insure families in Wisconsin:

  1. Community partners interested in providing application assistance can learn about Express Enrollment. This will enable community agencies to temporarily enroll qualifying children in BadgerCare Plus. View training materials about ACCESS for Partners and Providers.

  2. Share information with your clients! How to order posters and brochures.
  3. Help people apply on-line via ACCESS at access.wi.gov. There are four tools on ACCESS that you can use to:

    1. Help people to apply,
    2. See if they are eligible,
    3. Check the status of their benefits, and
    4. Report their changes.

Register as a community access point to stay informed and involved. Get instructions here.

  4. Help to educate people about changes to the program. It is now easier for people to apply for BadgerCare Plus. View BadgerCare Plus training materials.
  5. Help your customers stay healthy by providing them with brochures and information about what they can do for their health. We also ask that you provide the Health Needs Assessment Survey.
