Childless Adults

Plans are underway to offer health care to people without dependent children beginning in January, 2009.

Childless Adults refers to Wisconsin citizens:

  • Ages 19-64
  • Who have no dependent minor children
  • With a gross income at or below $20,800 for a single person OR $28,000 for a family of two
  • Who have no private health insurance coverage
  • Who have not been covered in the previous 12 months
  • Are not pregnant, disabled, or otherwise qualified for any other Medicaid, Medicare or SCHIP program

All BadgerCare Plus childless adults will received their services from an HMO provider and participate in cost sharing in the form of an application fee and affordable co-payments for services where applicable.
